Dear members of the Gaia-X Community, We would gladly like to invite you to the Open Work Package (OWP) Self-Description Workshop on Mandatory Attributes. Aim of the workshop is to extend the list of recommended mandatory attributes for functional self-descriptions beyond the initial, short list in Appendix A3 of the 21.06 Architecture Document. With the ADR process starting in a few weeks’ time to include this list in the next Architecture Document release, we would hereby like to ask you for your contribution to this task. The OWP Self-Description already has a large repository of self-description examples and templates to be verified and for sure, your use cases may also inspire further attributes of self-descriptions. Focus of the first workshop will be the self-descriptions of providers, services, and data assets, but we are open to suggestions. To start, the workshop is planned on each Friday from 12.00-14.00 p.m. CET until the end of August 2021. The first workshop will take place according to the following schema: • 12.00-12.30: All participants are welcome in this “main” Teams call for introduction and organization of the sub groups working in parallel sessions. • 12.30-13.30: For each sub group a Teams call will be provided. The support will stay in the main Teams call for welcoming members entering late and for being within reach if assistance is needed. • 13.30-14.00: All participants gather in the main Teams call for exchange and updates on progress and problems.
